When you try to run ESEUTIL to check integrity or repair exchange database you receieve this error

C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\BIN>eseutil /g "c:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv
1.edb"

Error: Access to source database 'c:\program files\exchsrvr\mdbdata\priv1.edb' failed with Jet error -1032.

Operation terminated with error -1032 (JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access fi
le, the file is locked or in use) after 10.609 seconds.


Resolution

To resolve this issue open services snap-in and stop Microsoft Exchange Information store service.
